Welcome to my blog. Why a blog you ask? Good question! I just felt I needed an outlet to be able to post my ramblings, and possibly connect with others who either feel the exact same way, or have some valuable, positive insight to share to help me grow as a person. I believe that one is never to old to learn, to wise to listen, or so knowledgeable that they know it all. Everyone has had a different lived experience, some more intense than others, but it does not mean that each individuals experiences are not hard, or better than another's. We do pick our own paths to travel, however, sometimes life has its own plans and throws us obstacles that we need to overcome, to learn from, and grow from.

A bit about me:

I am a 49 year old single mom to two amazing kids, they are thriving in life and in society and are my pride and joy. I have one fur baby who is quite the handful at the best of times! I am a fairly recent grad in the field of Social Service Work and proudly hold the title of an RSSW. Sadly when Covid-19 hit, I was getting close to the end of my placement, and then lockdown happened and has been going ever since. I look forward to being able to get out there and find a job in the field I now know I was meant to be in, because my passion truly does lie in helping empower others and seeing them succeed in life. There is just such a satisfying feeling and sense of accomplishment and pride when someone smiles and says "I did it, thank you for helping me get to where I needed to be"!

I hope you enjoy this blog if you follow it, and that you learn something from my ramblings perhaps, or you feel comfortable enough to share your own thoughts and journeys in life so that I, and perhaps others, can also learn from you. I like to preserve and encourage an inclusive environment and safe space for everyone, so please, be kind and courteous when posting a response to anyone.

Looking forward to seeing where this blogging journey takes us all ...

Serina
